British Birds

Overview

This collection is based on the British Ornithologists Union (BOU) British List and includes over 95% of all Category A and C species except those classed as rarities (though we have included White-tailed Sea Eagle.)

2007 Update: NEW!

This latest edition adds a number of scarcer species kindly provided by the Macauley Library at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It also takes account of the 2006 changes to the British Birds Rarities report. We are grateful to Jean C. Roché of CEBA for allowing us to include several species formerly only available on our European Audio Field-guide.

Species added are: Sooty Shearwater, Great White Egret, Snow Goose, Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck, Black Kite, Red-footed Falcon, Pectoral Buff-breasted and White-rumped Sandpipers, Ring-billed Gull, White-winged Tern, Alpine Swift, Red-rumped Swallow, Red-throated Pipit, Subalpine Warbler, Greenish Warbler, Arctic Redpoll and Rustic Bunting.

This edition is also compatible with the upgraded PC/Mac application which allows you to play these recordings from your computer.

If you purchased the 2006 Edition please click here to see how to obtain a free upgrade.
