PC/Mac Application and Firmware
The application checks for updates automatically if you are online when you start it. To check again, click on Help > Check for Updates.
These can be downloaded free of charge. These also include any updates to the firmware that runs inside the recorder itself. To upgrade the recorder itself, simply upload your recordings and you will be prompted to upgrade once all recordings have been uploaded safely.
Audio Field-guides
These are normally updated approximately once a year to include new species, improved recordings and any functionality updates. You are entitled to a free upgrade if you purchased your audio field guide within 12 months of the release of the new version.
From 2008 we expect to deliver these updates online via a download but at present, we are shipping memory cards with the audio pre-installed.
To obtain your free upgrade, e-mail us giving your name and address, which library(ies) you require an upgrade for and where and when you purchased these. We will then send you a memory card containing the updated library and on receipt you should return your old one to us. Be sure to upload all of your own recordings from it first.
